OKSA was founded in 2021 with the goal of filling the need for exceptional technical and strategic professional services to individuals, entrepreneurs and corporates alike.
With over 30 years of cumulative experience in Big 4, corporate and family business, we have the ability to understand you and your business and play a significant role as a trusted advisor and steward of your personal and business finances.
We believe strongly in the concept of trusted stewardship and know that your relationship with your professional advisors can only function effectively on deep mutual trust. Our name, OKSA, is built on this concept and is a derivative of “Oikonomos”, meaning a trusted steward of household or public finances.
We have founded our business on the values of integrity, diligence and excellence and are committed to doing things the right way, consistently to the best of our abilities.
Our purpose is to help solve your problems through sustainable value delivery. We commit ourselves to building and maintaining trusted relationships for the long term and supporting your needs throughout the journey.

Our service offering includes: 

Income Tax: 

  • Preparation and submission of provisional tax returns 

  • Preparing and submitting annual income tax returns 

  • Informing you of amounts due to SARS and when such amounts are due 

  • Reviewing the final assessment received from SARS for accuracy and agreement with expectation 

Value-added tax: 

  • VAT registration 

  • Preparation and submission of VAT201s in accordance with you registration category based on: 

    • Information and computations provided by you; or 

    • Computations performed by us, based on information provided by you 

    • Informing you of amounts due to SARS and when such amounts are due for payment 

Secretarial: 

  • Storage of secretarial records 

  • Registration of new companies 

  • Preparation, on instruction, of memorandum of incorporation 

  • Maintenance of share register 

  • Maintenance of minutes of Annual General Meetings 

  • Completion of ad-hoc change requests for submission to the CIPC, such as, inter alia:

    • Change of directors (appointment and resignation) 

    • Change in financial year end 

    • Change in beneficial ownership 

    • Change of auditor or accounting officer 

    • Submission of updates to beneficial ownership register 

    • Completion and submission of the company annual return

Gerrit van Dyk

Gerrit van Dyk

Gerrit registered as a Chartered Accountant with SAICA in 2018. He has professional experience in both public practice, with a Big 4 accounting firm, and in private business, as financial director. Gerrit has worked in both the local South African market, as well as Brisbane, Australia. His experience includes auditing of private and family business, and extensive exposure to legal practices. Being a member of a family business himself, Gerrit has a passion for owner managed and family business and uses his expertise to drive both compliance and financial efficiency to unlock sustainable value for his clients. Gerrit leads OKSA’s accounting, tax and compliance service offerings.

Jean Hough

Jean Hough

Jean registered as a Chartered Accountant with SAICA in 2020. Having seen and understood the power of data, analytics and visualisation thereof, he has invested in applying his financial and reporting expertise into business intelligence technology. Jean subsequently spent three years working for a Big 4 accounting firm in their data and transformation practice where he was responsible for building reporting dashboards for Blue Chip companies and using BI to solve complex accounting problems. Jean has a passion for data insights and the efficiencies that it can unlock, driving sustainable value for his clients. Jean leads OKSA’s Business Intelligence and financial modelling practice.

Chris Pinker

Chris Pinker

Chris registered as a Chartered Accountant with SAICA in 2012. He has accumulated extensive experience in the private, family and multinational business sectors during his 14 year tenure with a Big 4 accounting firm. His experience includes significant exposure in the local South African market, as well as two years in California, USA. Chris has a passion for private and family business and holds accreditations as a Trusted Business Advisor and Family Business governance consultant. He has a passion for building trusted relationships with his clients and helping them solve their important problems. Chris has significant experience in assurance engagements, financial reporting and transaction accounting. Chris leads OKSA’s assurance, financial reporting and consulting service lines.
